Background
Completed my Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Perpetual Help in the Philippines in 2002. I then worked in a community hospital for five years, specializing in neurological conditions such as Stroke, Parkinson’s disease, and traumatic brain injury. I also managed a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions, including pain management, as well as balance and mobility disorders.
Moved to England to work at Norwood Ravenswood Village in 2007, supporting adults with complex physical and learning disabilities. During this time, I also worked within the NHS as an Occupational Therapy Assistant and Care Assistant.
Given the opportunity to work as a Physiotherapist in a private clinic in 2015, where I further enhanced my skills. I gained qualifications in Acupuncture and electroacupuncture, muscle energy techniques, aquatic therapy, balance and mobility rehabilitation, post-operative rehabilitation, pain management, and falls prevention.
More recently, I had the privilege of attending PD Warrior training, which specializes in managing Parkinson’s disease. This program focuses on teaching patients neuroactive exercises to empower patients to better manage their condition and maintain active, meaningful lives.
I pride myself on being patient-centered, empathetic, and committed to continuous professional development. I am confident in working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, always striving to deliver high-quality care and achieve the best possible outcomes for my patients.
