Background:

I have recently joined the Physiotherapy team after working in an acute hospital setting, where I specialized in rehabilitation, particularly with older adults—an area I am truly passionate about.

I entered the Physiotherapy profession after graduating from Brunel University as a mature student with a BSc (Hons) degree, while balancing the demands of a young family. Coming into the profession later in life has allowed me to bring a strong foundation in evidence-based practice, along with curiosity, openness to new approaches, and a willingness to challenge the status quo.

Throughout my physiotherapy career, I have gained experience across musculoskeletal, neurological rehabilitation, pediatrics, and general medicine. However, I have particularly thrived in working with older populations, where I feel I can make the greatest impact.

Before becoming a Physiotherapist, I gained valuable life experience through overseas travel and previous careers, including working as a high school teacher in Australia and later running my own Pilates business. I specialized in delivering classes for older and middle-aged adults, which strengthened my belief that movement and exercise at any age are key to a happy, long, and high-quality life—it is never too late to start.

I enjoy the challenge of rehabilitation and take pride in finding creative, engaging, and enjoyable ways to help clients build strength, improve stamina, and regain confidence, always ensuring that the process is both effective and enjoyable.
